Begin registration during the announced registration period, which for DV-2025 was from Oct 4 to Nov 7 of this year. It’s just too bad that registration for next year’s lottery (DV-2026) has already closed, but don’t despair! DV-2027 registration is estimated to begin in October 2024.

What happens if I win?
Being drawn in the DV Lottery doesn’t necessarily ensure getting a green card. Also, you must undergo additional processing such as an interview at a US embassy or consulate. If everything goes smoothly, then you will be on the road to legal residency and employment in the United States.
