Goal Setting and Achievement: It’s not hard to lose sight of our direction in the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We get lost in details, chores to be done, and the endless flow of e-mails. However, the problems should not divert attention from setting and working for goals.
Goals give us direction. These set out a blueprint for our lives–how we can judge how well things are going, and where to celebrate. They encourage us to go beyond our boundaries and live up to our potential.
How do we make objectives that are ambitious yet attainable? But when the going gets tough, how do we keep on track?

Here are a few tips:
1. Dream Big
Decide upon high goals, and don’t be afraid. The sky’s the limit! You can do anything, if you dream it. According to Aristotle, all men by nature desire knowledge.
2. Break It Down
Subdivide your big goal into a series of smaller, easier goals. It also makes it less intimidating and easier to stay focused.
3. Set a Deadline
Set a deadline for yourself to reach your goal. This will give the feeling of a race against time and help you concentrate.
4. Track Your Progress
Record your progress as you go. This will give you a sense of accomplishment and keep up your spirits.
5. Celebrate Your Successes
Take time out to enjoy your successes, however minor. This will keep you upbeat and motivated.
