DAD Development-Related Postgraduate Scholarships: The DAAD is now accepting applications for its 2024–2025 scholarship programme.
Prospective students from poor nations are eligible to enrol in Germany’s Development-Related Postgraduate Courses (EPS).
Applications for DAD EPOS Scholarships are open to international students from developing and recently industrialised countries who want to pursue master’s or doctorate studies in Germany. The DAD supports the education of professionals from developing and newly industrialised countries through its postgraduate study programmes in development.
Foreign graduates from developing and newly industrialised countries who have completed two years of work experience and are eligible to pursue a postgraduate or Master’s degree at a state or state-recognised German university, or in certain cases, a doctorate degree, can do so with the help of these scholarships.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Who can apply?: Graduates with at least two years’ professional experience from the following countries: list of eligible countries
- Eligible Courses: Individual scholarships exclusively for Postgraduate courses in Germany that are listed on the “List of all Postgraduate courses with application deadlines 2024/25”.
FINANCIAL COVERAGE
- Depending on academic level, monthly payments of 861 euros for graduates or 1,200 euros for doctoral candidates
Payments towards health, accident and personal liability insurance cover - Travel allowance, unless these expenses are covered by the home country or another source of funding.
Under certain circumstances, scholarship holders may receive the following additional benefits:
- Monthly rent subsidy
- Monthly allowance for accompanying members of family.
