United Nations Nippon Foundation Fellowship 2024 | Fully Funded: Applications are now being accepted for the 2024 session of the UN-Nippon Foundation Strategic Needs Fellowship Programme by the Division for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea of the Office of Legal Affairs of the United Nations (“OLA/DOALOS”).
Graduates who are interested in participating in academic research and studies are eligible for the fellowship program, which will feature, among other highlights, a four-month training ram.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
In order to be eligible for the 2024 United Nations Nippon Foundation Fellowship, applicants need to:
- Be in the age range of 25 to 40.
- Hold a first-class university degree or its equivalent.
- Show that you are capable of conducting sophisticated academic research and study.
- Come from a state that is developing.
- Government officials dealing directly with strategic issues related to sustainable development of oceans and seas (e.g., the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development; national and/or regional ocean policy; the establishment of maritime zones and/or the delimitation of maritime boundaries; coastal zone management; conservation and management of marine living resources; maritime transport and shipping; maritime security; the protection and preservation of the marine environment; and/or marine science).

The fellowship is fully funded by the United Nations:
